Two actors, Alex and Niamh, are launching a new playwriting opportunity.
They say: “We are actors based in north London and have a great new writing opportunity that we’d love to share with your followers.
“The problem: Like many young creatives, most of our time has been spent at the day job not flexing our creative muscles. If we were athletes, we wouldn’t sit around waiting for the next race, we would be going to the gym and training.
“Our goal now is to replicate this ongoing practice for creatives. What we want to create is a free opportunity for actors and writers to come together and keep themselves theatrically active.
“Our concept: We plan to connect a group of young actors and writers and offer a free space to hear new work. We have teamed up with the Green Rooms in Wood Green who our supporting us by offering a free space to work in.
“We are looking for 3 short plays, max 20 minutes, which our group will read and discuss. This is a great opportunity for new writers to meet other creatives and hear their work out loud.”
The play readings will be on 3 April 2017.
What to submit: Plays no longer than 20 minutes.
