LPB is helping to promote courses from Arvon – a creative writing charity that enables writers to develop their craft with top practitioners.
Arvon is wrapping up its special ingredients and bringing them to JW3, London’s beautiful new Jewish arts and community centre on Finchley Road.
Join them for an immersive writing experience, a powerful mix of workshops, one-to-one tutorials, the support of fellow writers and plenty of time and space to write.
Acclaimed playwrights Amy Rosenthal and Evan Placey will help you kickstart your theatrical imagination and give you the tools you need to take your ideas from page to stage. Through group discussion, writing exercises and tutorials, this course will lead you through the arc of the playwriting process: from trusting your ideas and finding your voice to writing dialogue, developing characters and understanding dramatic action, structure and form.
This non-residential course runs from 10am to 9.30pm on Sunday, 10.30am-9.30pm on Bank Holiday Monday and 4pm to 10pm on Tuesday (4pm – 6.30pm is optional on this day). Numbers are restricted to 16 so it is recommended that you book early. The venue is accessible to wheelchairs.
Course fee: £255 (lunch and dinner included, provided by Zest, JW3’s restaurant and bar).
How to book: Bookings can be made via their website.
