“BBC Comedy is having a bumper year in Scotland. We’re making lots of television shows, even more digital content and are running live nights and learning sessions too.
But that’s all about us. What about you? What are you up to? How’re you getting on? Do you want to come and have a chat about it? We’re gathering at The Stand to think about how comedy gets developed, commissioned and made. Whilst there is no magic formula, we’ve invited comedy professionals to share their insights and experience. From jokes to sketches to sitcom, what makes the cut and what doesn’t?
If you want to write comedy, or already do, come along and join the discussion. This is your chance to air those burning questions and find out everything you’d like to know. There will be tips, stories, examples and a few swear words. Probably. Come along and enjoy yourself! It’ll be warm and dry”
