BFI Postroom open to submissions of films and scripts from emerging filmmakers

The Postroom is where the BFI’s NET.WORK executives meet new talent. It’s the place to show your work and enhance your profile.

They’re here to nurture, strengthen and engage with the best talent. If you’re a new filmmaker – or even if you’ve engaged with the NET.WORK before – this is an opportunity to share your completed script or short film, allowing them to connect with you directly.

They will view everything, and may contact you to discuss how they can help develop your creative vision.

Your work, and any discussion of it, will not be publically viewable, but in the future – and with your permission – we will showcase the best work in our monthly Postroom picks, to help you gain exposure and make further connections.

Please note they cannot respond to every submission, and the Postroom does not offer funding.

Eligibility:  To be eligible, you must be a UK resident aged 18 or over and not in full-time education. You must be a writer, director or producer and have full permission to submit the work.

You can submit one script and one short. Your film must be hosted on YouTube or Vimeo and be no longer than 30 minutes. We accept password protected films.

How to apply:  To apply, create a profile on their website and upload your materials.

Deadline:  Rolling
