‘Brave New Word’ new writing event at the Courtyard Theatre – last minute deadline!

The Courtyard is proud to launch BRAVE NEW WORD, a new writing festival dedicated to experimentation, rebellion and collaboration.

“I want poetry, I want danger, I want freedom, I want sin…” – Aldous Huxley, Brave New World

Upstairs at the theatre will host a space for actors, writers and directors to meet and experiment with new work. They will be showcasing over 50 new pieces of work, including informal readings of five minute extracts in our tag team scratch room and longer rehearsed readings in the Main House. Entry is free and open to industry and non-industry.

What to submit/How to apply: To submit either a 5 min extract or a 20-30 min piece for consideration as a rehearsed reading email writers@thecourtyard.org.uk.
