Brave New Word provides a platform and community for writers,
actors and directors to showcase, discuss and experiment with
new work. They are especially inclusive of work which has urgency or importance, works outside traditional parameters, and takes
risks.They also particularly encourage first-time writers.
They’re looking for new writing on the theme of UTOPIA//DYSTOPIA: visions of a not so distant future. They would love to see this interpreted and reimagined in as many ways as possible, but please be aware that they will not be accepting entries for this event on any other theme.
Pieces must be 5 minutes in length and can be of any form, including drama, poetry and prose. (They will accept mp3 files as submissions.)
They would also like to state that they we will only be selecting a small number of pieces for this event, so if yours is not chosen this time, do not be discouraged from submitting work to them in the future.
How to apply: Send all submissions to bravenewwordfest@gmail.com in either Word
or PDF format as an email attachment.

Hi Hal, we’ve just updated the website link for this event, so hopefully this will fix the issue! Regarding the other question, the first time you comment on our site, this is submitted for moderation to make sure the email address is from a legitimate person and avoid Spam and trolls.
