The aim of these awards is to help facilitate partnership and collaboration between disabled artists and/or collectives in the UK and in selected Official Development Assistance (ODA) countries.
In total, micro grants will be awarded to approximately 10 pairs of disabled artists per round. Each application can be for up to £2500. Artists and their collaborators, together, decide how the funds will be distributed.
There are two new rounds of funding.
Round 3
– Applications for round 3 opens 09 May 2022
– The deadline is 12 noon Thursday 09 June 2022
Round 4
– Applications for round 4 opens 25 July 2022
– The deadline is 12 noon Thursday 25th August 2022
Each application can be for up to £2500. Artists and their collaborators, together, decide how the funds will be distributed, ie. what portion are artist fees and what portion is allocated to project running costs, e.g. translation, money transfer charges, equipment, administration, subscriptions, etc. In their submission, applicants will be asked to show a budget, outlining how the funds will be distributed.
Access funding is available separately both to support access to applications and/or access to support the project. In the budget, applicants will be asked to give figures for the access costs of both the UK artist and the international collaborator. This is to ensure that the fund can cover all costs and will not form part of the panel’s decision-making.
Funding from this award can cover 100% of the project costs, or part-fund them if other sources of funding are available.
