Entries are now open for writers to submit a short play of no more than 10 minutes in length on the theme of THE ROAD NOT TAKEN for the Chesil Theatre’s TakeTen fesitval.
Ten plays will be selected from all the submissions and the PRIZE for the winning ten plays is that they will be performed four times over one weekend at The Chesil Theatre Winchester in February 2021.
The entries must follow this simple format:
– Plays must be ten minutes in length
– Plays must relate to the theme : The Road Not Taken
– Scripts can include one to four actors, with minimum props, lighting and sound
– All submissions must be previously unperformed, unpublished and original work
The plays will be sorted through an initial selection process to ensure entry criteria is met. They will then go to a panel of judges for a short list of 20 and then the final 10 winners are announced in autumn 2020. The Chesil Theatre will then appoint directors for each play and will hold auditions and casting for performance at the theatre in February 2021.
