Clean Break: Workshops (Including Rewriting Justice to facilitate playwrighting workshops in criminal justice settings)

Clean Break Theatre has several workshops on offer: 

Rewriting Justice 3 November 2022 

Learn how to facilitate playwrighting workshops in criminal justice settings, women’s centres and the community while examining the personal and social value of this work. Facilitated by Anna Herrmann, Artistic Director of Clean Break and playwright Deborah Bruce.

 

Staging Rehabilitation – in partnership with Geese Theatre 22 September 2022 

This masterclass is for criminal justice professionals interested in arts in the criminal system. Facilitated by Anna Herrmann, Artistic Director of Clean Break and Andy Watson, Artistic Director of Geese Theatre.

 

Safer Spaces 29 September 2022 

Develop your tool kit for working safely with young women in the criminal justice system or at risk of coming into contact with it. Facilitated by Lorraine Maher, Clean Break’s Participation Manager and Esme Allman, theatre-maker, poet and writer.

 

Unlocking Potential 13 October 2022 

Learn how to build safe, creative and transformative spaces for women affected by the criminal justice system and develop a rich toolkit to improve your practice. Facilitated by Anna Herrmann, Artistic Director of Clean Break and Rachel Valentine Smith, a Creative Associate of Clean Break.

The cost for each session is £95 (excluding fees). We have limited number of bursary places which are available to anyone who has direct personal (not professional) experience of the criminal justice system. To apply for one of these bursary places, please contact events@cleanbreak.org.uk.
