Comedy Crowd Chorts – accepting submissions

Comedy writers and performers – make a 3 minute comedy sketch for the chance to win up to £500, be seen by industry judges and thousands of comedy fans

Chorts is an annual competition by The Comedy Crowd for short comedy sketches that engage an audience, introducing a new comedy character or concept.

It’s free to enter, and shortlisted entries will be reviewed by an exciting industry judging panel and screened at a live online event early in 2021.

The competition is open to both writers who want to perform their own Chort, and those who don’t. The deadline for script submissions is 4th December, with the shortlisted scripts being developed into videos in Jan and Feb 2021.

There is a £250 prize for the winning video selected by the industry judging panel at the live screening event, and a separate £250 prize for the video with the most engagement on the Comedy Crowd online channels in the week after the screening.
