Duckface Productions is looking for a new and exciting piece of writing to present in a London theatre space with a loyal following in June. As the timeframe is a small one, we are looking for a piece that is near ready. This would be an incredible opportunity for a gifted writer to see their words come to life on the stage and are excited to collaborate with new, undiscovered talent.
What to submit: They are looking for a fresh and edgy script in its final draft stages.
- Characters: 2-4 (1 male and 1 female minimum)
- Length: 50-90 minutes.
- Genres: Drama, Romance, Black Comedy, Existentialism
- Themes: Love, Sex, Absurdity, Youth, Escape, “Seven Year Itch”
- Influences: Style: looking for something reminiscent of Sam Shepard’s Food For Love, Philip Ridley’s Pitchfork Disney or Fastest Clock in the Universe or Harold Pinter’s Betrayal.
How to apply: Your play should be properly formatted and submission must include a one sentence log line, 500 word or less synopsis, and character breakdowns.
