Excellence Theatre present Dear Black People Festival 2022! Emerging black Writers are invited to share fifteen minutes of their work to be showcased on The Pleasance Theatre, MainStage this coming Summer:
How to submit:
When submitting a play it should be no longer than 15 minutes. This can be a short play or an extract from a longer play. If you are submitting an extract, it should be able to stand on its own.
- Clearly state your name, the title of the play and a brief synopsis of the play and character breakdown
- Provide information regarding your creative team/actors and if you are yet to find them
Important Dates:
- Sunday 22nd May 2022 – A Photoshoot in London for all successful Playwrights.
- Tuesday 5th July & Wednesday 6th July 2022 – The Scratch Festival will take place at The Pleasance Theatre, London.
What we offer:
- A chance to showcase of your play at The Pleasance Theatre London on their Main House stage.
- All playwrights will be given £150 in expenses to use for the production.
- All Playwrights will be provided with the opportunity to have rehearsal space at Hidden Viewz leading up to the show. We will arrange slots with each team.
- Our team at Excellence can attend a rehearsal and offer feedback prior to the show.
- Promotion on all of our social media platforms.
- Written feedback from audience members a month after the show.
