Fizzy Sherbet accepting short play submissions by Women for podcast (paid)

FIZZY SHERBET accepts short play submissions of 10-20 minutes length (maximum of 15 pages of script) for 1-4 characters by women writers* worldwide for their podcast.

This is a paid opportunity, each chosen writer will receive a fee, an audio production of the play & inclusion on our podcast. As well as new short plays, their podcast series features interviews with the playwrights about their piece, their process and their inspirations. They also interview a special guest. Guidelines:

There are no guidelines on themes, please send them the play you are most excited about, which tells the story you most want to be heard.

How to submit: 

To submit, please send your short play as a Word Doc or PDF to fizzysherbetsubmissions@gmail.com with a short biog, including information on where you were born and where you currently live. We are excited about connecting female creatives from around the world and creating an international network

This is an ACE-funded project

*They are looking for submissions from all women, including trans women and non-binary people, who have been traditionally underrepresented in the theatre industry on gender lines, with the aim of presenting a varied and fascinating series of stories.

Deadline: Whilst they do have a rolling submissions window, to be considered for the first Podcast season, please submit before 23.59pm on 07 August 2021
