This year, Shoot the Company, is celebrating 15 years. As part of the occasion, they are offering a competition for young writers to make a film on a subject of their choice.
The winner will be awarded a budget of £15,000 and will work with Shoot the Company to develop, plan, shoot, and edit the final film.
Writers at all levels of experience are welcome to submit. There are no restrictions on duration, formats, or ideas.
Who can apply?
Age: 18-25
Location: United Kingdom & Republic of Ireland
Application Deadline: Friday, 13th August, 2021
All submissions will be assessed by Shoot the Company. Once shortlisted, candidates will be invited to a pitching session, either virtually or face-to-face between the 23rd – 31st August, 2021.
The winner will be announced on 1st September, 2021 and the film will be released on November 1st, 2021 to coincide with Shoot the Company’s 15th birthday.
