Flux and Tristan Bates Theatre seek short plays for ‘Emerge’ showcase

After a sellout debut in 2016, Emerge returns. Emerge is a new platform that gives four emerging writers, directors and a company of actors the opportunity to collaborate/showcase their work and gain feedback from an industry panel.

Artists will get the chance to ask questions and receive feedback from a panel of experienced producers and directors, with the opportunity for the artists to meet post-show to discuss their work further.

Emerge is curated by Flux Theatre in collaboration with Matthew Keeler (creative producer of Tristan Bates Theatre and producer/curator The Other Palace RE:act).

Flux coordinate casting and finding a director with the writer.

The performance night is Monday 10 July  2017 t the Tristan Bates Theatre.

Eligibility: Gaining feedback is part of the event and all artists involved need to  be present to receive this.

What to submit:

  • Short plays and excerpts from longer pieces.
  • Maximum length: 20 minutes
  • Restrictions: minimal set, max 4 cast members
  • There is no specific theme
  • No musicals and MUST BE unproduced writing

How to apply:
When submitting please write “NAME_ Title” in subject and include a cover page  with: a casting breakdown (with ages), short synopsis, and any relevant info.  Email all submissions to: emerge@fluxtheatre.co.uk
