Generation Arts seeking monologues for ‘Voice of the Voiceless’

“As part of our commitment to supporting the charity Unseen UK throughout the run of IN/OUT (A FEELING) at The Hope Theatre from January 12th to the 30th we are welcoming submissions of ten to fifteen minute monologues inspired by the brief ‘Voice of the Voiceless’.”

Two of these pieces will be selected and published as part of a not for profit book to be sold during the run of the play which will include the play text and also information on the work that Unseen UK do. Money raised through sale of the book will go back into the publishing costs and will benefit Unseen UK who will receive a portion of each sale in order to benefit their work.

The selected pieces will also receive a public reading as part of a post-show gala evening to benefit Unseen UK and their mission to rid the world of human slavery and assist those in the UK who are in need of support. They welcome and encourage all writers from around the world to submit their stories to us and hope that you may join them in some small way to make a difference using the arts.

“Slavery sadly exists in so many different forms and we welcome writers to explore this in their work. We are looking forward to reading peoples responses”.
