George Devine award open for submissions (£15,000 prize)

The George Devine Award is an annual prize, established in 1966 in honour of the first director of the Royal Court Theatre.

The award is now administered by his daughter, Harriet Devine.

The prize is open to any promising playwright for an original stage play, which need not have been produced. TV and radio plays will not be considered.

What you win: £15,000.

What to submit: 2 copies of your script plus return SAE, and a summary of writing activities to date.

      We’d recommend contacting the organisers directly with any questions as we just re-post these opportunities for your convenience (although, in this case, we’re pretty sure you have to send hard copies of your work).
