Southbank Centre is looking for 10 up and coming writers to take part in Indiana Jones and the Extra Chair, a very exciting project with spoken word artist Simon Mole involving workshops and performances in two live shows at Southbank Centre:
Simon Mole’s ground-breaking one man show is a spoken word adventure that takes place over the evening meal. Every family dinner needs a hero. Mike is twenty-three years old but still asks ‘what would Indy do?’ at times of crisis, and it’s crunch time when we meet him at a busy train station on his way to his Mum’s.

The project is an opportunity for you to work with spoken word artist Simon Mole and critically acclaimed site-specific theatre director Peader Kirk on a series of workshops where you will create new work which will be performed alongside Simon in the live shows on Monday 14th & Tuesday 15th October at Southbank Centre.
Eligibilty: Are you:
- A poet/spoken word artist and keen to work on your writing and performance skills?
- Between 18 – 25
- Available on the following dates:
Monday September 30th – 6pm – 9pm
Wednesday October 2nd – 6pm – 9pm
Monday October 7th – 6pm – 9pm
Wednesday October 9th – 6pm – 9pm
Saturday October 12th – 11am – 6pm
Monday 14th October – 7.30pm – 10pm (performance)
Tuesday 15th October – 7.30pm – 10pm (performance)
The Southbank Centre can offer London travel expenses for participants and 2 tickets to one of the show nights.
