KDC Full Stack Writing Competition open for entries

KDC’s writing competition, Full Stack, is open once more. Over the past few years they have given the opportunities for writers old and new to get a chance to have their work put on stage at the Lion and the Unicorn Theatre in London.

The aim of this project is to get everyone writing, whether you are normally an actor and have never written before, or a seasoned writer who would love to try a new form or style; this is designed to get your creative juices flowing.

What they are looking for: 4 page script based on the theme: Carried Away. This theme is to be seen as an inspiration for your work and can be interpreted as you see fit.

If selected your work would be performed as part of a new writing showcase in July performed by KDC actors.

Submission guidelines:

  • It must be 4 A4 pages maximum, anything longer is disqualified.
  • Font no smaller than size 10.
  • There should be no more than 3 actors required for the piece.
  • Please limit submissions to one per person.
  • Submissions need to be in PDF or Microsoft Word formats.

How to enter: please email your 4 page script to: newwriting@kdctheatre.com

They will contact you in April to let you know whether you are successful.

Deadline: 10 March 2019 at 6pm

      Hi Wayne,

We do try our very best to list the correct email addresses and I’m sure you’ll appreciate that we are a very small team who work on a voluntary basis to put these opportunities together for your convenience. The occasional human error is inevitable but for the most part, the email addresses in question are copied and pasted from the organisers websites or emails we are sent.

In this case, we were given the email address by the organisers but after cross checking on their website, I have replaced it with a different email address and I hope this one works for you and you can get your submission to them.

      Best of luck,
      Kimberley

  1. Hi Kimberly,

Thanks so much for returning the ball.

I do realize that quite often the info given (email or otherwise) may be in some way incomplete.

Your blog–& especially, opportunities listings–is greatly appreciated! Best, WPM
