SCRIPT SUBMISSIONS
LA Productions Script Submission: Open from Monday 24th at 12pm and closes on Monday 16th November at 9am.
If you have submitted a script without reading our guidelines then you may not hear back from us so please ensure you have read and understood all guidelines before submitting. Late submissions will not be accepted once the window closes.

Original work only – Scripts must be the writer’s own original creation. No fan fiction, adaptations (unless the writer owns the rights), or scripts for existing TV series or films.

TV Pilot Script – Please do not send outlines/treatments/pitch decks at this stage, the only attachment should be the pilot script. As a TV production company, it’s a TV script we need to read. We cannot read radio plays, stageplays, or features. Television only, please.

Info about you – Include in the message box anything you think we should know – any previous scriptwriting experience, interesting info about yourself, just anything to help us to get a handle on you and your writing.

One script per submission window – Writers may submit only one script during this window so please send us your best, the one that really showcases you and your writing, the script you’re most passionate about, regardless of genre or budget. It’s your writing we’re looking at, not the production viability.

Standard industry formatting – Your script should be submitted as a PDF and written in Final Draft scriptwriting software, to a UK TV standard format. Name the file “Title by Writer”. Ensure your script has page numbers and a proper title page (in Final Draft: Document>Title Page), plus page headers which clearly identify the work and author on every page (Document: Headers and Footers).

Age and eligibility – You must be at least 18 years of age or over at the date of your submission. You must be a permanent/full time resident of the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man or Republic of Ireland. You do not need to have been born here, but you do need to have an existing right to work in the UK.

Proofread – Please ensure your script has been proofread before submitting – there’s only one chance to make a first impression.

First Draft – Please don’t send first drafts. This is your chance to show off how brilliant you are, so we expect scripts to have been redrafted multiple times before they are submitted.

AI – We will not accept any script which has been developed, created or generated using AI tools.
