Les Enfants Terribles, a company that started from nothing 15 years ago, is aiming to inspire young theatre companies to do the same.
LET, in collaboration with Greenwich Theatre, is offering two prizes; The LET Award and the Greenwich Partnership Award.
They are: a performance slot in The Pleasance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2017, a cash injection of £1,000 and industry mentoring.
Oliver Lansley, LET artistic director, said: “Now in its 6th year we are incredibly proud of the success of the LET Award and the wonderful young companies who have come through the scheme and gone on to achieve great things. In our 15th year it is more important than ever for us to support new young companies and encourage a spirit of entrepreneurship amongst a new generations of theatre makers and story tellers.”
What to submit: The LET Award is only open to original pieces (newly written, devised or adapted) and productions of existing material are not eligible. Works must not yet have been fully produced or performed, although works in development which may have had an R&D showcase opportunity will be considered. Please read the entry requirements here.
