Leytonstone Itch seeking pieces for scratch night in June 2016

The Leytonstone Itch a bi-monthly night at Leytonstone’s award winning ‘All You Read is Love’ (http://www.allyoureadislove.com). It is a scratch night like no other, an opportunity to try out ideas and share new work in a warm supportive environment. You can get feedback on your work, make friends and contacts, or simply be inspired! They are looking for acts and audience members for their next event Saturday 25th June. It can be anything – music, theatre, dance, comedy, and everything in between.

They have been running this event since July 2015 – check out www.facebook.com/leytonstoneitch for more information and regular updates.

As part of the night, they run a series of ‘blindly-cast readings’. Writers submit 5-10 minute scenes and a team of actors are assigned their parts regardless of their cast type. They then have 15 minutes to prepare and share the scene. Audiences love it and writers will testify how useful it is to see your work performed in a very different way and get feedback from audiences.

How to apply: Please email scratchlikenoother@gmail.com for more info, to volunteer as a reader, or to submit your ideas & plays. The lineup will be chosen by June 18. Any idea you send will be considered for future Itches if not chosen this time.

Deadline: 15 June 2016
