London Playwrights Zoom Workshops: Advanced TV Writing

This 3-week short course will demystify the process of pitching ideas for TV. We will explore what is meant by some of the more opaque terminology used in screen drama – such as the difference between an outline, a treatment, and a pitch deck. As well as doing a deep dive on the story structure of a single episode of great TV drama, we will get to grips with writing in the screenplay form. Each participant will also receive feedback from the tutor on a single document – up to three pages of a pitch, outline, or screenplay.

Led by Freddie Machin, this advanced course is suitable for those who have already taken Freddie’s TV Writing Course, or those who have some experience attending other courses or in writing TV scripts.

Sessions take place on 23rd Nov, 30 Nov, 7 Dec 6pm – 7.30pm

Cost: £75 non members/ £52 members (not a member yet? Sign up here)

  1. I’ve written a script (8 episodes) for a TV comedy-drama series entitled, Entrepreneurs.
I would really like to get it in front of a broadcaster or better still, produce it myself with my own production team. I just need some advice, assistance, investment etc. Hope you or this course can help.
