National Theatre seeks New Work Administrator (18 month FTC, £27,000 p.a.)

While this isn’t technically a playwriting opportunity, we couldn’t resist posting since it puts you right in the heart of supporting the creation of new work!

If you’re passionate for the development of theatre in all its forms, are a highly effective self-starter who is organised and diligent with detail, and have the ability to respect confidentiality and use discretion, the National Theatre would love to hear from you for their new, dynamic New Work Administrator (Workshops) role.

The National Theatre’s New Work Department is the engine room for developing work towards production for all the NT’s stages.  The New Work team are constantly growing a slate of commissioned plays and process-led work, managing the step by step progress of the work towards production.

They are looking for an Administrator to join the New Work team to help with the administration for all the artists and projects they support. This role will often work with artists to deliver an environment where they feel able to create their best work within appropriate timescales and budgets.

The successful candidate will support a range of artists and must lead on the smooth-running of specific projects, ensuring that the department are aware of the best emerging talent from right across the country.  The role also leads on data capture for the department which helps to tell the department’s story.
