Opportunities: Our Pick of the Week – Free Rayne Artists seeking submissions for Spiral at the Bread & Roses Theatre

Each week we look through our pile of writing opportunities to pick out one we think is particularly worth your time. It could be an innovative brief, great prize money, a high-profile company, or just plain fun.

This week’s pick: Free Rayne Artists seeking submissions for Spiral at the Bread & Roses Theatre

Description:  Free Rayne Artists is seeking plays for their next night of new writing ‘Spiral’ at The Bread and Roses Theatre from 16th-18th October 2016. Free Rayne Artists is a new theatre company dedicated to showcasing new writing, actors and directors.  Plays can be no longer than 15 minutes running time, minimal set, sound and lighting. It must have 2-4 characters. Send all applications to submissions@freerayneartists.com

What’s so great about it? It’s always great to get your work up on stage and the bonus with this one is that they are only looking for 15 plays; so, if you haven’t got that full length play finished yet, you’re still in with a shot of getting your work seen. Their previous show, which was held at Theatre N16, sold out and received 4* reviews so you know you’ll be in good hands with these guys. If you want to give this one a go, you’ve got plenty of time to write a short play – submissions close on 14 August 2016.
