This week’s pick: Channel 4 – Screenwriting Course
Description: The Channel 4 Screenwriting Course is now accepting submissions for 2021. The purpose of the course is to offer 12 writers new to television drama an insight into how the industry works and to provide a “dry-run” of what it can be like to write under a television drama commission, specifically for one hour series and serial drama, and to work with them as they write an original drama script.
Why is it so great? Here’s one for all the budding screenwriters. If you want to learn how the industry works and to be supported in writing your own original drama script, this one is for you. You do need to send in a sample script with your application but for this year only, you are allowed to send in a script you’ve sent before. If you want to give it a shot, you have until 2 October at 5pm to apply.
