Opportunities – Pick of the Week: Goblin Baby Co. accepting short play and monologue submissions

Each week we look through our pile of writing opportunities to pick out one we think is particularly worth your time. It could be an innovative brief, great prize money, a high-profile company, or just plain fun.

This week’s pick: Goblin Baby Co. accepting short play and monologue submissions

Description: Goblin Baby Co. are currently seeking short play and monologues submissions for their upcoming Breaking Loose Festival.

The festival aims to explore intersectionality and solidarity and will be taking part at The Bread and Roses from 18-25 February 2018.

They are looking for scripts that are 5-20 minutes in length and realisable with a basic set-up and a maximum of four actors.

What’s so great about it? Not only is this an opportunity to get produced, but it is also an opportunity to challenge a lot of the norms held within our society.

Breaking Loose is a new festival that aims to look at the importance of intersectionality and solidarity in this discourse and the need for these to advance true change.

They are looking for work that that is inclusive of the themes they want to explore, but the genre of your piece is not determined. If chosen, your work will be produced at The Bread and Roses in 2018.

So if this sounds like the opportunity for you, you have until 11 December 2017 to apply.
