This week’s pick: Swings and Roundabouts script call out for new writing night
Description: Swings & Roundabouts presents…PROTEST! ? a new writing night in aid of the Safe Nights Fund@ the Southwark Playhouse which takes place on July 7th, 7pm. They are looking for 15 minute plays (not extracts) about/on/against/in favour of: PROTEST !?.
What’s so great about it? Not only is this a great opportunity to have your short play staged at an esteemed London venue, this event is also for a really good cause – the End Youth Homelessness’ Safe Nights Fund. They are asking writers to come up with a complete short play on the the theme of Protest!? – so you’ve also got an interesting brief to sink your teeth into if you plan to submit! The deadline is 25 May.
