Opportunities – Pick of the Week: The Kay Mellor Fellowship – Leeds Playhouse and Rollem Productions

Each week we look through our pile of writing opportunities to pick out one we think is particularly worth your time. It could be an innovative brief, great prize money, a high-profile company, or just plain fun.

This week’s pick: The Kay Mellor Fellowship – Leeds Playhouse and Rollem Productions

Description: Leeds Playhouse and Rollem Productions invite applications from playwrights to The Kay Mellor Fellowship, an exciting, year long dual development opportunity for stage and screen.

What’s so great about it?  Leeds Playhouse is currently undergoing a redevelopment so this is an exciting time to get involved. The fellowship offers writers a year of development and they are looking for playwrights who have an idea that they would like to develop for screen. The selected writer not only gets professional support for the year but also a fee of £10,000. Writers can apply via the website until 21 October. Read the full details here

Please note, we’ve posted this for your convenience and we’re not affiliated with the organisers of the opportunity.
