Each week we look through our pile of writing opportunities to pick out one we think is particularly worth your time. It could be an innovative brief, great prize money, a high-profile company, or just plain fun.
This week’s pick: Women’s Writes – Submissions open for online playwriting festival
Description: After sell out shows at The Arcola Theatre, VAULT Festival and a little jaunt on The London Theatre Podcast, Women’s Writes is back! This time they are going Live-to-Digital with The Women’s Writes Online Festival and they are looking for their next Female-identifying Playwrights.
Why is it so great? Women’s Writes are doing amazing work in creating opportunities for womxn writers. They’ve already had plenty of success with sell out shows at the Arcola and this time, they are moving their festival online – aiming to create a maelstrom of Womxn’s voices online to bring in the New Year with agency, empowerment and inspiration! If you want the opportunity to work with an exciting emerging company and you’re a womxn writer with a 15 minute monologue to share, then they want to hear from you! You have until 1 November to submit – good luck!
