Over It! Revolution

Over It! is now accepting submissions for Over it! Revolution Festival launch event, a new festival dedicated to shattering stereotypes of women and enbys 35+ on-stage.

What we’re looking for:

  • Women/non-binary playwrights, aged 35+
  • Availability to attend the Over It! event in London (Omnibus Theatre) on 23th March
  • Expressions of interest (details below, no scripts please)

What is Over It! Revolution?

Over It! Revolution is the birth of Over It!, an exciting festival dedicated to shattering stereotypes of women and enbys 35+ on-stage and launching in 2025.

They are looking for six women/non-binary writers aged 35+ to set the tone and help shape the future of a festival telling our stories.

Over It! Revolution and Festival is presented by Fireraisers, Blue Masque Theatre and Slackline Productions.

What to send:

Send a submission of interest including:

  • Who you are
  • What you’ve done (this doesn’t have to be professional writing credits- we LOVE if you’re a new writer, coming to this for the first time or coming back after a break!!)
  • A MAXIMUM one-page idea about what you’d like to write in response to the theme REVOLUTION!

The six selected writers will be given a brief and have one week to write the play, which will be presented as a rehearsed reading at the Omnibus Theatre as part of the launch on 23rd March.

Please note, this is an unpaid event. N.B., we are seeking funding for the festival 2025.

Deadline: Over It! will accept submissions until 1st March by 11:59pm or until 100 submissions have been received, whichever comes first, so don’t delay!
