Pint-Sized is looking for submissions for new shows.
Pint-Sized is an evening of new writing, which combines:
– 10-15 minute pieces
– A live band playing tailor-made tracks in the transitions
– Affordable tickets, which include a discount on your first drink after the show
The shows will be on November 14th and December 12th, at a brand new venue that’s opening in London Bridge this autumn.
Pint-Sized has sold out every night so far, and their last show had queues around the corner. They invite agents and literary departments from major theatres, and have been a springboard for pieces involved; Sarah Milton’s The Night Tella, featured in their second show, recently went on to feature at The Royal Court as part of the Open Court season.
What to submit: 10-15 minute pieces, either excerpts from longer pieces, or short stand-alones. One submission per writer please.
In their own words: “There’s no need for pieces to fit a particular theme or genre; we do tend to favour character-driven stories, and we can’t accommodate big sets or vast technical requirements, but we’re always happy to be surprised or challenged. We’re interested in telling the stories of people who don’t always have a voice, but ultimately if we like a piece and it’s feasible to stage, there are very few rules.”
How to apply: Send submissions to pintsizedplays@gmail.com.
Deadline: 1 October 2016

Any advice on how many possible actors?
Hi Alun, your best bet is to email the organisers directly to ask for this info. Good luck!
