Plane Paper Theatre is a London based theatre company. They are dedicated to creating a platform for emerging theatre makers to develop and produce original work that explores interesting questions and themes. Through the development of new writing, Plane Paper Theatre provides a public space for marginalised voices to be heard.
They are currently looking for scripts for their next project running in March/April. If you have a script you think would be suitable and adheres to the below guidelines then they want to hear from you!
They’re looking for plays that:
- Are no longer than 2hrs 30mins, or shorter than 60mins.
- Have never been performed professionally in the UK (not including rehearsed readings)
- Match the company’s core aims.
- They want plays that a brave, that challenge and explore aspects of contemporary culture and are relevant in today’s social context.
- Are feasibly performable on what may be a small budget.

Whether it’s your first play or sixth, if you’ve completed one draft or have five behind you, if your play fits the above criteria please contact us email@example.com. Please include a short introduction about yourself including relevant experience and an artistic CV as well as a short synopsis of the play and why you think it would be a great fit for our company.

I have full-length unperformed play scripts that I think match the guidelines. However, before taking matters further would like to have some interaction with Plane Paper Theatre. Awaiting a response.
