Polemic Theatre Company is now accepting submissions for its inaugural One-Act New Play Festival Partisan Play Fest.
This year’s festival will examine the central theme “What is the perception of Police in modern society?”
Festival Guidelines:
1. All One-Acts shall have a run time of no longer than 20 minutes.
2. All One-Acts must be a World, US, or Chicago premier.
3. All One-Acts must reflect the Festival’s yearly theme or central question.
4. Deadline: Manuscript or .PDF file must be received by 12:01 am January 1, 2017.
5. Prizes: There will be a $500 Panel Prize (as judged by Chicago Theater Professionals), and a $500 Audience Award (as voted on by each live audience).
Winning playwrights will be given the opportunity to develop full length play to premier with Polemic Theatre Company. (PTC will host all table reads, development workshops, and staged readings.)

Festival Opens: February 22, 2017
Festival Closes: March 19, 2017
9 Shows will be presented in rotating rep so that each show will perform 4 times during the 6 show performance week. Totalling 16 performances.
