What is it?
Script to Stage are hosting a Table Read on Sunday February 23rd at 2.30pm at Comicrazy, 45 Old Sneddon St, Paisley PA3 2AN. Whether you are a seasoned playwright or dipping your toe into the wonderful world of play creation for the first time, this is a chance to hear your own character’s words read aloud in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. They want to encourage everyone to apply – from those just testing the water to seasoned playwrights with a number of scripts under their belt.
Requirements:
- Open to submissions from writers in the Renfrewshire (Scotland) and surrounding areas.
- scripts up to 10 minutes (standalones or extracts)
- applicants must be 16+
- non-prescriptive in layout
- No character maximum but keep it sensible
How to apply?
Send your scripts to s2srensubmit@gmail.com and head your email with TABLE READ SCRIPT. Save your script as a PDF and attach to the email. The selection criteria is first come first served. They hope to have up to about 15 scripts read at the event.
