Instinct Theatre and Loosely Based Theatre are holding an evening of short plays in response to the need for more roles for older female actors. To be held at Theatre N16, Styx, 5 Ashley Rd, London N17 9LJ, on Thursday, 5th April, 2018
What they are looking for: 10 – 15 minute scripts; maximum 4 actors and minimal set. Include a brief synopsis. They welcome submissions from any writer, regardless of age or gender, who has a script that puts at least one older woman (40+) centre stage. Please note that this is an unpaid opportunity.
New writing preferred, but they will consider plays which have had a rehearsed reading or a single performance – please state in your submission. Extracts from longer plays can be included. Let them know if you have a director / cast attached, or whether you need them to fill these roles for you. Teams for each play will have to find their own rehearsal space, if possible.
