The social enterprise Citizen Songwriters CIC is seeking actors / storytellers to deliver a story piece on a festive railway carriage at Stanhope Station on the Weardale Railway. The role involves performing a new Christmas story themed around communities in the Dales, written by local communities in Weardale with Citizen Songwriters. The piece is for 4—9 year olds and their families.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, warm spirited and engaging individual who has experience delivering stories to young audiences. We are looking for someone who can commit to at least 5 of the dates below. Each day 15 minute performances of the piece take place at 12.30pm, 2.45pm, 5pm and 6.45pm.
We are particularly interested in actors who are able to sing or perform a simple-to-learn song as part of the performance (this is optional however).
