The Salon: Collective inviting writers to partner for ACE funding

The salon:collective is inviting connections from playwrights who are preparing to apply for an ACE project grant and seeking a professional development partner.

What they offer:

A professional partner with experience in producing, directing and dramaturgy, to support you through your development process.

Initially, we they provide free support and mentoring to see you through the application process, with no obligation if your application is unsuccessful.

This initial support will include the development of a bespoke collaboration plan, at a reduced fee for them, which you will include in your application budget, with the discount contributing to your overall in-kind support.

Their collaboration is likely to include script development, mentoring on production processes, and support with staging a reading for feedback.

Interested?

They will select a shortlist of projects that seem to be a good match for what they an offer, and will arrange to meet or Skype with those shortlisted artists for approximately half an hour in late September to exchange ideas on their project.

We launched a similar process to Open Door last year and a rehearsed reading for our partner playwright Richard Chilver’s play Hold will be staged at Theatre 503 in November.”

LGBTQ+ and BAME applicants are encouraged to apply.
