Theatrelab, based in Bath Spa, brings together creative from a range of experience and disciplines (producers, actors, writers, designers, musicians etc) to for a theatrelab community that stimulates ideas and creates new performance.
Theatrelab holds monthly meetings to workshop new scripts, offering a regular opportunity to meet other creatives, exchange ideas and initiate collaborations. They also produce public showings of scripts that have come through their development process and provide scripts that go forward in to Bath Spa’s rehearsed reading event, Wordplay.
How to submit:
For new ideas or at working draft stage: attend one of the monthly workshops, work with producers, directors and actors to fully realise the potential of your script. Submit to Kerry via email: script@theatrelab.org.uk, including information about your past writing and future plans for your script.
For finished scripts: put your writing forward to be included in a public platform or rehearsed reading event. Submit to Kerry via email: script@theatrelab.org.uk including –
- A CV and or cover letter outlining your previous experience/ plans for the project
- A synopsis of the play
- A full character breakdown including age and gender
- A portion of the script or the full script.
