Third Verse theatre accepting submissions for Black Rainbow on the theme of ‘power’

Black Rainbow is an informal and relaxed bi-monthly night of visually arresting, interdisciplinary performance and exhibitions from Third Verse Theatre. Set in an intimate yet open environment, the Black Rainbow nights are not-for-profit events designed to be engaging and stimulating with a focus on cultivating creative, critically engaging and thought-provoking work across all formats.

After the success of their last event, they are now accepting artist submissions for their next show.

What they are looking for: artists and theatre practitioners from all backgrounds and disciplines to submit an idea or piece(s) of art based around the theme of ‘Power’.

They are looking for work that is imaginative and doesn’t take the theme too literally, they really want to hear from people who are willing to look into the more obscure and hidden possibilities of what ‘Power’ is.

How to apply: to submit your idea or work check out the guidelines at thirdversetheatre.co.uk/submit

Or email your work to them at submit@thirdversetheatre.co.uk

Please include ‘POWER Submission’ along with the title of your piece in the subject of your email.

Submission guidelines:

  • They are a small Lewisham based production company and have limited tech capabilities so please don’t submit anything that is too complicated in terms of tech. For a list of what they do have visit their submissions page and download a pdf of the floor plan and tech itinerary.
  • Play submissions should be no longer than 30 mins and require no more than 4 actors.
  • Please bear in mind that they receive a large number of submissions and will only be selecting a small number of pieces, so if yours is not chosen this time, do not be discouraged from submitting work to them in the future!
  • Good luck and they look forward to seeing your work!

Deadline: 12 June 2019
