Calling all writers! Woodwose Productions is seeking yule/Christmas/midwinter-
‘Tales for the Season’ is a series of storytelling nights, each themed around a particular time of the year. Our first event, ‘All Hallows’ saw us bringing together actors and writers to tell 5 stories, new and old, that suited the spookiest time of year.
For Yule, we are looking to add a piece by a new writer to our line up. It must be appropriate for a single actor to read aloud (you can choose to read aloud yourself or we will help you find someone) and must not last more than 10 minutes.
From the familiar and festive to the melancholy and mysterious, your story can be about anything you like and you can interpret the theme ‘yule’ in any way you choose. Writers will be compensated on a profit share basis after the event.
Woodwose Productions is a new story-focussed venture by professional and award-winning writers Lucia Deyi and Rebekah King producing live performances, recorded stories and educational talks.
