What is it?
KDC Theatre, a non-professional performance arts charity focused on development of artists (including writers), have run a new writing project annually for the last few years to encourage new writers and to promote efficient storytelling. Successful scripts will be included in a fully staged anthology production with the other winning entries in a week at Lion & Unicorn Theatre in June.
Who the opportunity is for?
This opportunity is for new writers in particular and the competition is manageable for inexperienced authors, but it is also of interest to experienced writers who want to stretch what they can achieve in a short space.
Requirements:
- Short plays
- Related to our theme “Writing on the Wall”
- No longer than 4 sides of A4 paper (ie about 8 minutes)
- No more than 3 actors
