The scheme has been designed for professional writers who are looking for a breakthrough into the industry. The course will straddle both TV and Theatre for those who are serious about writing.
WriteWild 2022 is exclusively for those from disadvantaged and/or diverse backgrounds. Applicants must be 18 or over and be based in the UK.
The scheme will consist of six writers who will each their own professional mentor and will attend Zoom sessions hosted by Oliver Lansley with brilliant industry guest speakers.
WriteWild 2022 scheme will begin late April 2022. As a bespoke arts organisation, they will do our best to accommodate the successful applicant’s schedules – the scheme’s zoom sessions will be held fortnightly on a weekday evening with skills exchange sessions on agreed weekends. The scheme will run for one year; the first half of the year will be active mentoring and the second will be pitching and showcasing the work.
At the end of the scheme, writers will have written a draft of a theatre play and tv pilot with 5 sets of notes given for each and will close with a live showcase in a theatre to industry representatives.
