Opportunities – Pick of the Week: LPB Creative Inspiration Workshop & Writers’ Meetup

Each week we look through our pile of writing opportunities to pick out one we think is particularly worth your time. It could be an innovative brief, great prize money, a high-profile company, or just plain fun.

This week’s pick: LPB at London Writers’ Week – Creative Inspiration: Building a Premise and Writers’ Meetup

Description: It’s London Writers’ Week 2018 and we’re pleased to be partners for the week. This year’s theme is film and as well as the fantastic line-up of events for the week, LPB will be bringing you some exciting workshops and a social meetup.

**If you’re quick, you can still nab a ticket to Freddie Machin’s workshop from Page to Stage, which takes place Thursday 19 July at 3pm. **

Otherwise, on Saturday 21 July, we’ll be bringing you a Creative Inspiration workshop and a writers’ meetup.

What’s so great about it? Ok, this week’s Pick of the Week is a shameless plug for our London Writers’ Week events. But what can we say? We really want to see you there!  Plus, it would be a shame for any writer to miss out on the opportunity to find inspiration for new ideas and to network with other writers.

This Saturday, LPB’s Kimberley Andrews will be bringing you Creative Inspiration: Building a Premise – a fun-filled and dynamic 90 minutes of coming up with ideas and using them to build a premise for a script. No previous writing experience is necessary for this one, everyone is welcome and the atmosphere will be supportive rather than scary! Tickets are just a fiver and the workshop takes place at the Diorama Arts Centre near Kings’ Cross.

Following the workshop, we’ll be meeting in the bar for a social event, where you can chat to other writers (and network without the awkwardness). It’s free to come along to this one and if you can’t make the workshop beforehand, don’t let that put you off.

Hope to see you there! And if London is too far, don’t worry, we’ll be following up by posting some blog content about our events very soon.
