Hi!
My name is Barbara Towell. Are you interested in monologues? I have a perfect one for a woman in her end fifties – early fifties called ‘Kennneth’. It is published. Length approximately 20 – 25 minutes however.
I have written a play for voices set in a small Northern Mill town in the 1950’s. Most of the many characters are over 40 and, in fact, although it is a play for voices, it lends itself to being staged as there is a good deal of dialogue and action..
As someone who was raised in the 1950’s on a very large council estate in Manchester, and whose mother and most of our
neighbours worked in the neighbouring mill town, I am very familiar with life in the 1950’s, The working and social life of the
our working class neighbourhood with its difficulties, grit and un dying humour are the fabric of my play.
If you think it might be of interest to you, I would be pleased to send it.
Please get in touch with the organisers directly as we just repost these opportunities for convenience. The play sounds great though, best of luck with it.
