New Writing South is seeking a Creative Learning Manager (maternity cover) for a part-time freelance contract (Equivalent of 3 days per week) £23,000 a year (pro-rata.)
New Writing South is the new writing development agency for the south-east region, supporting all kinds of creative writers and new writing. They are recruiting for maternity cover for the Creative Learning Manager position. You will be based at The Writers’ Place, in the heart of Brighton’s North Laine.
The role will be to oversee our busy creative learning team and ensure current programmes continue to be managed and are successfully completed.
The Creative Learning Manager is responsible for the delivery of the company’s education, community learning and outreach programme. This includes creative writing workshops, residencies in schools, the community and the wider sector, and in partnership with other organisations including museums, art galleries, theatres and libraries.
The role also involves managing the company’s Creative Learning team of 30 writers, maintaining good working relationships will all existing partner organisations, being responsible for maintaining efficient and comprehensive administrative systems and making sure artists are contracted and paid on time.
