Organised by Cornwall-based writer Claire Newman, the group is partly about connecting screenwriters in Devon and Cornwall, but is also for anyone interested in writing screenplays, and especially in receiving and providing feedback on a completed TV or feature script. So there is no requirement to be based in Cornwall or Devon in order to attend meetings, but note that any in-person meetings are likely to be held in that part of the world.
The group’s main activities are monthly, online script feedback meetings. The idea is simple: 1 completed feature script or 1-2 completed TV scripts are posted at least a week before each meeting for group members to read in advance, then at the meeting everyone provides constructive feedback to the writer(s). There is no charge to join the group or to present your script.
From time to time, the group will also organize real world meetings, which might simply be mixers, or might involve group members meeting up during a writing festival, etc.
You can join the group on Meetup (note that it is free to join Meetup, you only pay if you organise a group)
If you have any questions, or if you’d like to participate but aren’t able to join via Meetup, please contact Claire at firstname.lastname@example.org
