Faversham Fringe 2018 open to applications

Applications for the 2018 Faversham Fringe (formerly known as HopFestFringe) in Kent are now open, for playwrights interested in producing their work. The dates are August 24th-31st.

What to submit: In their own words: ‘We’re hoping for any/all of the following: new writing, musicals, stand-up, sketch comedy, cabaret, poetry, mentalism, and improvisation (not an exhaustive list, so if your particular thing isn’t on it, don’t let that put you off applying). However, we are not looking for musicians or singers – the Hop Festival which comes immediately after Faversham Fringe is all about music, so we do everything but.’

Financial model: Faversham Fringe is not run for profit – they charge a registration fee to cover the costs of hiring the venue, front-of-house staff and publicity. The registration fee covers multiple performances of the same show. If you want to enter multiple, different shows, you will need to pay £30 for each show.

Most shows opt to use the PWYW model. Pre-paid tickets will be split 70:30 in your favour; bucket takings are 100% yours.

Please be sure to read the full terms and conditions before applying.

How to apply: Details of available venues and the application form can be found via their website.

Deadline: 31 March 2018 – but slots filled on rolling basis
