Free theatre criticism workshop with Lyn Gardner (North East, Deadline 18 October)

Voted the most trusted reviewer in the UK earlier this year, Lyn Gardner is currently associate editor of The Stage and has written about theatre and performance for The Guardian and The Independent. Awards for her work include: the 2017 Total Theatre Significant Contribution Award for her work on the Edinburgh Fringe, the 2017 UK Theatre Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Theatre, and a 2018 Tonic Award.

If you are based in the North East want to get into theatre criticism or develop your critical writing skills; if you’re a journalist or blogger and would value honest feedback on your writing from an experienced critic; if you already write reviews but are keen to hone your skills and get more experience; if you’re trying to increase your blog profile or reach a new audience; if you regularly go to the theatre but have never written a review and you’re not sure where to start; if you would like to be part of or help to develop a network of critics in the region; or if none of the above apply but you really love seeing shows and have opinions, then they want to help!
