Golden Idea Productions | Comedy Short Film Script

FILM AND TELEVISION PRODUCTION COMPANY SEEKS COMEDY SHORT FILM SCRIPT!

The UK based film and television production company Golden Idea Productions is currently seeking a live-action, narrative comedy short film script to develop and produce into a great short film, with the aim of working with some of the best comedy talent this country has to offer. Writers from all different backgrounds are welcome to submit, whether they are aspiring or established (or anywhere in between), as long as a great story is told while being funny at the same time.

For possible inspiration, look at:

Guidelines:

  • The script could purely be comedy or could be comedy with another genre, i.e. comedy-drama, comedy-crime, comedy-horror, etc.
  • In terms of how long to write for, 10-15 mins is ideal.
  • There is no fee for submitting.
  • Only one short film script will be chosen. The writer of the chosen script will receive £1,000 and a screenwriter’s credit (writing teams will have to share the money and credit).
  • Only one submission per writer/writing team.
  • Writer-directors can also submit.
  • A portfolio of previous work (highly desired but not essential).
  • Having connections to well-known comedy talent who could potentially appear in your film (highly desired but not essential).
